How the job description analyser works

Before you tailor a resume, it helps to see what a posting is asking for. Paste any job description and this breaks it into the skills, qualifications and keywords that recruiters and screening software typically look for — without sending your text anywhere.

  1. Paste the posting

    The full text, requirements included. Nothing is uploaded: the parser runs entirely in your browser, so the posting never leaves your device and no AI provider sees it.

  2. It is broken down by category

    Technical skills, soft skills, certifications, education level and stated experience are pulled out separately, so you can see the shape of the role rather than a wall of text.

  3. Keywords are ranked by weight

    Terms are ordered by importance and how often the posting repeats them, and anything written as a hard requirement is promoted to high priority — those are the ones worth mirroring in your resume.

What it pulls out of a posting

  • Technical skills, from languages and cloud platforms to tools and methodologies
  • Soft skills the employer names explicitly rather than ones you assume
  • Certifications, and the education level actually asked for
  • Experience requirements, with the number of years parsed out
  • The highest-priority keywords, separated from the merely mentioned

Common questions

Does my job description get uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole analysis runs in your browser — the text you paste is not sent to a server, and no AI provider is involved in producing the result.
Is the ATS match score based on my real resume?
Not yet. Phase 1 scores the posting against a built-in sample profile so the matched and missing split has something to compare against, and the page says so wherever the score appears. Wiring in your own resume is a later phase.
What counts as a high-priority keyword?
Either a core skill, or anything the posting frames as a hard requirement — sentences carrying cues like must have, required, minimum or proficient in get their keywords promoted.
How long a posting can I paste?
Up to 20,000 characters, which comfortably covers even long enterprise postings. Below about 120 characters there is not enough text to read anything meaningful from.
Why did it miss a skill I can see in the posting?
It matches against a fixed keyword bank rather than inferring new terms, so an unusual or very new technology may not be recognised yet. That is a deliberate trade for running instantly and offline.
