Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar tracking technologies used on pixeldockapps.com.
1. Essential cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in to your account. Without it, you'd have to log in again on every page. This cookie is necessary for the site to function and can't be turned off while remaining signed in.
2. Functional storage cookie (not analytics, not gated by the banner below)

The encrypted record contains only the numeric score and closed priority codes — never resume text, job-description text, names, email addresses, contact details, or generated rewrites. Used once after signup or login; the cookie is deleted when used, and encrypted content is removed as soon as it is claimed or expires. Declining this checkbox means the cookie is never set and nothing about your result is stored. |
This is a functional-storage decision, separate from the accept/reject analytics decision in section 3 below — accepting or rejecting analytics has no effect on this checkbox, and checking this box does not grant analytics consent. We don't claim this checkbox alone makes this site compliant with GDPR, the India DPDP Act, or any other law in every jurisdiction a visitor might be in.
3. Our own consent-gated analytics and advertising cookies

pd_aid | A random, first-party identifier we use only to count anonymous steps through our own free tools and checkout on this site (e.g. how many people who start a resume check go on to sign up). It is not a fingerprint, is not shared with Google, Meta, or any other company, and is set only after you accept. |
The same accept/reject decision also controls whether the Google and Meta tags below are allowed to load at all. You make this decision via the banner shown on your first visit, or any time afterward via the "Cookie preferences" link in this site's footer. Rejecting, or not deciding, means no pd_aid cookie is set, no step you take is recorded in this system, and neither Google nor Meta's tag loads on your visit — that traffic is simply not measured, not recorded anonymously instead. Accepting and later rejecting again removes any pd_aid cookie already set and reloads the page so neither Google's nor Meta's tag can load again during this same visit or any later one; it cannot retroactively undo anything the tags already sent to Google or Meta before you rejected. This mechanism is a measurement choice, not a legal opinion, and we don't claim that having it makes this site compliant with GDPR, the India DPDP Act, or any other law in every jurisdiction a visitor might be in.
4. Analytics and advertising, where configured

The Google and Meta tags load only when we have configured their respective tracking IDs and you have accepted via the banner described above; rejecting or not deciding means neither loads. Vercel Analytics is aggregate site-performance measurement, carries no cookie of its own tied to you personally, and is not covered by this banner. If you're visiting from the EU, UK, or another region requiring opt-in consent for non-essential cookies and want to double-check, your browser's tracking-protection or cookie-blocking settings remain an additional option for Google and Meta's tags.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying signed in; blocking the functional storage cookie in section 2 will prevent restoring a saved result; blocking analytics/advertising cookies won't affect the site's core functionality.
